January 2011
January being a bit cold out has kept us inside a good amount of time... the boys have been keeping busy with new K'nex creations (which I think I will have to create a blog post just for those :-) and enjoying our Christmas presents and other creative indoor activities :-) One of Colin's Christmas presents was a chess board and he has been enjoying trying to teach his younger siblings how to play.
They've had lots of time to play dress-up and/or come up with new creative fashion statements as Emma demonstrates below :-)
Coming up with creative ways to play with Mr. Potato Head parts.
(please don't say anything about he fact that Alexanders moustache really does come out of his nose ;-)
And we can thank Nana and Papa for encouraging Harrison in his ways (as well as his Auntie Pasha as heard on the video :-)... if he becomes a stunt man as a profession now we know why. The rocking horse was his first step along the way ;-) We've caught him standing on it with no hands even!!! See below....
And with January we have yet another birthday in our house... Harrison turned 2!!!
Harrison at the age of 2....
Talking quite a bit (and a bit too loudly most of the time :-)
Active, Busy (hurricane force most of the time) boy :-)
Sweet, very cuddly and loving ALL of the time :-) (it's what keeps him out of trouble alot :-)
VERY friendly personality... we just LOVE this about him. It makes starting the day so sweet to be greet with one of his sweet "HIIIIIIIIIIIIIII !!!! Mom!" Just love it!
He is going potty in the potty quite a few times each day most days... you'd think I'd act on this but just haven't yet :-)
He is such a bright spot in each day... even with the Hurricane Force chaos he creates in our days :-)
We have a tradition of giving the boys an airplane cake for their 2nd birthday.
Harrison wasn't quite getting what he was suppose to do with his candles so big brother Alexander was right there to coach him along :-)
Speaking of him becoming a "big-boy" :-) Once he turned 2 he decided it was time to have a big boy bed now :-) One night (and many nights since he has thought it a good idea to climb into Emma's bed instead of his own crib :-)
(Right now he shares a room with Emma so she won't have to be alone :-) but that spot will be filled shortly so he will be getting to move into a his own big boy bed in the boy room soon :-)
Emma is growing up too.... she has been "drying" her hair after her baths at night and it is so cute! She has so much fun in the process :-) I'm not quite sure why I've always found drying my hair to be such a chore when I see how much fun she has with the simple task :-)
Harrison has also decided he wants to be mom's kitchen helper at dinner time now too... he is getting pretty good at peeling "most" of the skin off of the carrots :-)
